Symposium

Children can learn to order their affections and love that which is lovely

Our Vision Statement

Our desire is to see Symposium grow to be an environment in which the children

can learn to order their affections and love that which is lovely. By modeling desired

virtues of love, humility, patience, courage, diligence, perseverance, and grace as

parents we seek to instill these same virtues in the children; along with an ever-

increasing sense of wonder. We believe that life and learning are to be celebrated

through traditions which embody our ideals, and that learning can be done in a

meaningful way that is also deeply restful. We believe that by creating worthwhile

rhythms and routines, work can be done wisely and well; without anxiety or

exhaustion. Above all, we desire to engage the whole child--heart, mind, and body--

as each one grows towards and into relationship with Christ;

and we see them become passionate seekers of Truth, Goodness, and Beauty.

“Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever

is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if

there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.” Phil 4:8.
